Five Months Old and More

Lewis turned 5 months old a little over a week ago and I just haven't gotten around to posting about it yet.  Then he weighed 17.5 pounds and yesterday he weighed 18.5 pounds so either our scale is screwy or he's just growing like a weed.  Here's the only picture from the day he turned 5 months old.  He was super tired and it was close to bedtime so Dan got some snuggle time before we had to wake him up for his bath and bottle.

Lewis is on his third fruit.  He's started with bananas, moved on to peaches (which had the same reaction as bananas at first), and now he's on pears.  He loves pears and would probably eat them all day if I'd feed them to him.  He still can't sit up by himself yet but we keep practicing.  He still rolls from his back to his front and then gets stuck and can't remember how to roll back the other way.  I always find him sleeping on his stomach so he takes after his dad in that way.  He's starting to nap a little more than he used to.  He now has 30 minutes to an hour long nap once or twice a day.  He's been sleeping pretty consistently from 8:30 at night to 6:45 in the morning so I'm sure that will change tonight since I'm posting about it.  Whenever I make a comment about his sleeping patterns he likes to switch it up on me.

We celebrated the 4th of July at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  Lewis went swimming and played outside in his cousin Shelby's pink toy.  Look at his hair in the picture below, he has a faux hawk!  I had to put sunscreen on his scalp the day before because I forgot his swim hat and I couldn't get it all washed out so on Monday it was like he had hair gel in.

He doesn't have any teeth yet but he's been grabbing his left ear lately and I've heard that could be in indication of teething.  Dan really hopes he doesn't start getting teeth until after next week is over because I'll be out of town on ASP with my church (and my sister and three of my cousins).  Dan's going to be a single dad for a week but I'm sure he'll do fine and enjoy all the time he gets to spend with his little mini me.
