Easter Festivities in Columbia!!

Lewis celebrated his first Easter today and he loved it!!  Easter is one of my favorite holidays so there are going to be lots of pictures in this post.  Below are Lewis' Easter baskets full of books, puzzles, and other goodies.

Here's the Yeager clan.

 Momma and Lewis.  Dan had to be in New York for his grandmothers funeral service.  Lewis and I were sad to be away from him and wish he could have been with us on Easter Sunday.

Lewis on the way home, all tuckered out.  He had a busy day and fell asleep right after my dad started driving home.  He's holding his Easter bunny lovey.  He's started to hold things and I'm trying to get him to hold his lovey's instead of the gross burp cloths and bibs.

The Easter Bunny

Lewis had his picture taken with the Easter Bunny today.  I was kind of surprised when it was a brown Easter Bunny, I'd never seen a brown one before.  Lewis performed about as expected, he didn't smile and had his fists clenched like he was ready to throw a punch.  He got to wear one of his two Easter outfits today.  I don't know if you can tell from the picture but there is a white bunny on the front of his little jumper.  There was another little boy getting his picture made that was wearing the same outfit!  The blue jumper in the picture is Lewis' after church outfit for Sunday.  Unfortunately I have to wash it because two minutes after putting it on he spit up all over it.

I think Lewis is surviving his first cold.  He is really snotty, sounds like a smoker when he breathes, and majorly spits up after eating.  He's taking it like a champ though, even when his momma has to dig boogers out of his nose so he can breathe.

Lewis got to meet his great aunt Teresa and cousins Hana and Baillie for the first time today.  They came in town from Memphis for Easter in Columbia.  They were so excited to meet him and he thought they were pretty great as well.

Lewis and the Bumbo

Lewis really loves sitting in his Bumbo!  He has always been really good at holding his head up by himself but I thought having him sit in this seat would help him work his muscles more so he'll learn to sit up sooner.  We'll see . . . 

 I was trying to tickle his foot so he'd smile but he wouldn't cooperate.

He can sit for a few minutes and hold his head up really well and then it must get heavy because he starts to lean, mostly to the left.  It cracks me up!
